Proteks is impervious to moisture but allows the passage of water vapour to permit walls to breathe. Water vapour permeability is within the range of 4.5 to 5.5 grammes per square metre per day when tested to BS3177. Reduction in water absorption, is 93.5 when coated with the Proteks System, carried out in accordance with 1062-3 1998 - test certificate 5855.
The moisture vapour T. Rate per square metre is 1.4 - 11.7. Acceptable anti-carbonation coating per square metre to be equal or less than 4 metres. Test certificate 5932.
Carbon Dioxide diffusion
The carbon dioxide diffusion using klopper criterion for effective anti-carbonation coating is R. Greater than 50 metres. Proteks tests at 365 metres. Test certificate 5855
